uneven layering after 3.0.10?
After I updated to 3.0.10 (and also the slicer version from february) I got a significant lower quality in prints. Of course, this might have nothing to do with the firmware but something mechanical might have happened at exactly the same time and might be a coincident.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Both prints in the picture are with the same settings and temps ( i know they are different colors but same PLA from Ridgid ink.) I have also tried with the same plastic and model files and I get all these layer lines now. Any suggestions what I should try? Downgrade to the previous and print and see?
I'm hoping someone more experienced have some ideas, maybe it's something obvious 😉

Best way to see if it was the firmware is to revert to the one you previously used for a test print.
I suspect it is not the firmware...

I experienced the same! I did just a few test prints with 3.0.6 after the assembly (all looked perfect) and then upgraded to 3.0.10 (and to the new Slic3r release), and my prints started to show some Z-banding - especially with 0.2 and 0.25 layer heights, 0.15 mm looks quite ok.
Worth to mention that my right Z-axis screw is (maybe) not perfect, so my problems can be mechanical as well. I'm not sure if the problem is affecting the print quality or not, the customer service is looking on it.
Anyway such coincidence (mechanical issue causing banding just after the upgrade to the new firmware) in more than one case is quite unlikely.

I checked this.
I've printed a lot of Benchy's the last time, but I cannot confirm this. There is no banding visible.
