Totally Screwed up hotend

So I had a failed print yesterday (side note, never buying MakersGeek filament again, that was the last straw). I ended up with a huge ball of PLA covering the hotend. In attempting to remove it, I accidentally pulled out the wires going to the thermistor(?).

Is it possible to replace this part? I don't see anyway to remove it. Also, what exact model hotend do we have?

It's the E3D V6 hotend, and you can get new thermistor cartridges and also new heating elements, 30W or 40W options.

Actually I found this excellent thread:

http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk2-f23/-tipp-buyers-guide-to-new-v6-hotend-t1876.html#p14602

Helped me understand how to pull out the thermistor and all kinds of other goodies.

Remove it using heat. Heatgun or hair dryer.

Re: Totally Screwed up hotend

Maybe the part in the oven, but don't heat all the way up to PLA melting temps. PLA will get soft and gummy around 120 F. If possible, could you post a photo?
