Temperature gets set to 0 mid print?

I've been running my MK2 very smoothly since last October. However, last night I started a pretty typical print and about halfway through I heard the extruder gear start clicking very loudly. I took a look at the display, and the nozzle target temperature had been set to "0". As in, the heat block had been turned off. By the time I noticed what was going on, the temperature had dropped below 180C and several layers had completely failed to print. The bed was still set to 55C. There are no other indications of failure. I was able to heat up the nozzle and push plastic a few minutes later. I looked over the Gcode and there aren't any calls for a temperature change outside of the start and end Gcode. Anyone else have this happen?

Re: Temperature gets set to 0 mid print?

Hi

There have been several other reported problems like this in this thread https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk2-f23/extrusion-stops-mid-print-t13493.html

In the other cases it has not been reported that the display has returned to 0, but the indications are the hot end temperature has fallen too low stopping extrusion and causing the problem you describe.

Hope this helps
