Suddenly uncalibrated after a print
Until today my printer (MK2S) has been working satisfactorily. It failed the XYZ calibration but otherwise was printing things out ok.
Today I decided to try a bigger print (the triceratops skull) that took 5+ hours. The first half looked pretty good but the second half was a little messy.
However when I went back to re-calibrate the printer, everything was messed up:
1. The initial self test failed for the y-axis. When I tried sliding the print bed along the y-axis, it seems to get a little stuck at certain points even though I can't see anything preventing its movement.
2. The XYZ calibration failed and said consult the manual.
3. The Z-calibration hit the print bed at three points (the x's are where it hit). I tried twice and got the same result.
O X O
X X O
O O O
I'm quite at a loss. What could these errors indicate? Seems like multiple problems sprung out of nowhere.
Re: Suddenly uncalibrated after a print
1. Find a root cause where it stuck. You have a mechanical issue.
2. Check the PINDA probe. Maybe a cable broke and it's working intermediately.
3. Visually check if there are any axes skew in all directions
4. Check all screws are still tight
