Shifted layers on both of my i3mk2, could this be a firmware issue?

I own two Prusa i3 mk2 printers, one is pretty new (Jauary) the other one is older. The old one has been my trustworthy workhorse for months now, until now I had no major issue with this printer, and especially never saw issues with with shifted layers before.

Now I have updated both printers to 3.0.10, and also began to print a quite big robot arm.

I see the same issue on both printers, I have printed in total 4 big parts (for reference, please look at the picture showing three of them)

They all show the same issue, the layers are shifted to the front of the printer and it only happens in Y-Direction.

I have never seen an issue like this on my old printer, and there I have printed some other big parts before.....

Any ideas? Did anybody else print some big parts on the mk2 with latest firmware?

Have you checked the gcode?

Thank you for the hint, I checked the GCode files, they look flawless on gcode.ws, no layer shifts visible.

Did you check the position of the axis after the shift happened.

I just had a layer shift of around 18mm on the x axis during a print. There seemed to be no reason why it shifted although I was not at the machine when it did it.

So I stopped the print and when I moved the extruder head on the x axis all the way to the left via the "move axis" command, when it was touching the microswitch, it was giving me a reading of +18, when it should have been reading 0.

So the x axis had lost position for some reason. This was after three hours printing.

Are you printing from the SD card or using something like the USB w/ OctoPrint / PonterFace?

Same here. Print shifted 5 mm on the Y axis in the middle of a print. Thought something might have shifted. So I tried to recalibrate. Had to move the whole frame 10 mm forward to reach the front calibration points.
(printing from SD card)
