rambo wiring extension cables
I'm building an enclosure and would like to move the power supply and rambo outside the enclosure. I have a raspberry pi (with octoprint) and would just like to keep all these outside due to heat. I know that they 'should' be ok in the high temps, but l'd just prefer to move them.
Does anyone make extension cables (I doubt it) ?
Does anyone know the part numbers you can use to make your own? I'd prefer to make extensions versus cutting and soldering longer wires into the ones I have.
I could probably disassemble the ones I have and add longer wires if I just bought new pins, but that would mean taking the whole printer apart. The easiest would be to just make extension cables.
I think these are correct:

Re: rambo wiring extension cables
what type of connectors are used for the hotend and heatbed wires? Not the actual molex eurostyle conector ( https://www.digikey.ca/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&itemSeq=245263158&uq=636477556086692575 ), but the tips on the ends of the wires.
They look like these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Preciva-0-5-10mm2-Self-adjustable-Connector-Uninsulated/dp/B073TZ5BBG
Re: rambo wiring extension cables
Are you sure you need extension cables.
I just finished my heated chamber prototype yesterday. The power supply cable is no problem at all. Now for the rambo unit you just remove the unit board out of the case, bundle all cables together closest to the board as you can. Then you you can actually move the unit 10cm to the left. The only cables which are a bit on the short end are the motor axis cables (n cables).
But still okaish. I printed a simple box for the rambo unit and attached it to the side of my chamber.
Re: rambo wiring extension cables
I'm not sure yet, I'm just preparing a parts list. The ikea cabinet arrives in a few days and I'll know then whether I need extension cables.
Good to know that I might not need to make extension cables though. But it sure doesn't look like the ones in my mk2s will be long enough to extend out of an enclosure.
