Question about Flow Rate
Hi everyone. The last time I printed I lowered the flow rate through the tuning menu, and found that a value of 98 gave me good results.
For my next object, I changed the Slic3r extrusion multiplier to .98. When I started printing the sliced object, I noticed the surface was a little rough, and when I went into the tune menu, the flow rate said 100.
Does the extrusion multiplier in Slic3r not control the flow rate? I thought those were the same thing.
Re: Question about Flow Rate
Yes, the multiplier does control the volume of materiel fed, but within GCode, not the printer.
So, previously you sliced at 100% and then set the printer to 98%, this time, you sliced at 98% and are printing at 100%. Both the same.

Re: Question about Flow Rate
Thanks, Peter! That's important to know. It means when I sliced at 98%, then lowered it on the printer to 98%, it was really printing at 96.04%. That means I was still getting the rough first layer even though it was printing at 98%. I will try 96% and see if the problem comes back; if so, there's something else going on.
