Prusa Mk2S Heat Bed Issues

I started having problems with my heat bed. It had trouble reaching temperature. I troubleshooted my way to issues with the Molex connection and had some melting. I reconnected the board directly by soldering. I still had issues with the heat bed and put it down to running the power directly through the board was giving me issues.

I took the complete approach and introduced a Mosfet. I replaced the heater bed cable with 12 gauge silicon wire. I still seem to be having problems. If anyone could advise it would be appreciated.

I hope you have checked on the thermistor which is fastened beneath the bed with some sticky tape.
If it came loose and does misread the temp your bed maybe always runs full power which could be reason
for melting connectors...

So as an update.

I checked the thermistor and it is still taped in properly. I also double checked the temperature using my IR probe and it looks accurate.
I did try further to troubleshoot the problem. I dont have a replacement bed so could not test that but I do have a replacement power supply. I connected the replacement power supply just to the bed (because I have a mosfet this is possible). It does seem to have solved the problem. My guess is that the PSU was damaged when the original connector damage happened.

Has anyone experienced this problem before?

If your molex start burning, take pictures of the burn and ask prusa a replacement (with a better connection). I think it's safer than upgrading the power supply.
