Printer continuosly extruding.

I recently ordered a Prusa MK2s preassembled and it sort of worked out of the box. None of the presliced models that came on the sd card worked, Probably because I forgot to calibrate the nozzle height. I sliced one of my own models and it worked fine.

Then a while later the printer began to continuously extrude filament whenever the nozzle was heated. because of this a blob of bronzefill got stuck to the end on the nozzle and hotend.

after I had cleaned the printers nozzle it still wouldn't work so I tried using selftest. selftest said that the hotend wasn't connected properly, I checked the wires going to the RAMBo and they were fine. I then decided maybe some filament got in where the wires went into the hot end.

While I was trying to clean this with a pair of metal tweezers I accidently touched two of the wires coming from the hot end at once with the tweezers. I was not electrocuted but I did blow a fuse ( one of the 5 amp ones) on the Rambo 13a. I checked all of the other fuses.

I then replaced the fuse successfully and the printer turned on. I used selftest and it ran fine.

Unfortunatley the printer was still continuously extruding.

I thought it might be a problem with the calibration so I recalibrated the printer with the XYY calibration. then the printer told me to run the V2 calibration for the nozzle height.

As I said earlier the presliced files haven't ever worked, and V2 calibration was no exception.
I then tried to mess with Live Adjust Z to get it to work. I failed miserably.

RECAP:
My printer currently has the live adjust z set to -0.555mm
I don't know if that works or not . I anyone has a found a live adjust z value that works please reply and tell me.

My printer also is still continuously extruding the extruder stepper motor is not moving but the filament is coming out. The temperatures that I've been using are from Prusa control.

I don't know why it doesn't work but If you have any ideas Please tell me.

Re: Printer continuosly extruding.

That is called oozing. The gravity pulls the more or less liquid plastic out of the nozzle. It mostly depends on the filament you are using and the temperature of the hotend.

This is quite normal. If it is a lot of ooze -> lower the temp.
