Preheat Error when reaching 100°C, firmware bug?

Hello,

when the Heated Bed reach 100°C most of times it reset to 0°C and Throw a Preheat Error, it ssems different from what other users described, it always happens exactly at 100°C

Please take a look at the video https://streamable.com/1qo4y

Is it a firmware bug? (Using the last one, printer received 2 weeks ago)

Same here, except my bed wont even get to 100. I have yet to see it get above 90 - as though it is unable to get to temp.

Just got my MK2 set up last week, PLA prints fine. PreHeat Error and Thermal Runaway are all I get when attempting ABS. My connections are secure.

did you already check (and if necessary adjusted) the 12V supply voltage at the psu ?
have a look at this thread.

I find 12,15V on the Rambo connectors, is it necessary to increase them?

BTW, the printer reaches 100°C every time, but then it reset to 0 like in the video

maybe the 100°C are just the edge the printer can reach and because there is no further progress it gives up.
i recommend a voltage of 12.6V. That's only +5% which is way inside the tolerance limit and gives you 10% more heating power.

Have you tried just going into the Settings menu and setting the nozzle temp to 255 and the bed to 100 to see if it will actually reach those temps and hold them there? No printing, just set the temps and see if they can be achieved without resetting.

The Prusa support suggested me to reflash the firmware (even if it was already the latest version). 😮

It did the trick!

They had me do the same thing for this issue, preheat error gone but now it takes like 30 minutes to go to 80C.

Need to get hold of a multimeter and see if i can find out were to measure the voltage.
