Pinda protector, should it be flush with the bottom?

Hello,

Is it okay if the black tip of the pinda is lower than the pinda protector or should it be flush?

Thanks,
David

in my opinion it should be flush. otherwise the pinda peeks out of the protector and still may struck something.
the protector has two tasks: protect the printed object from beeing hit by the probe and protect the probe to get damaged when hitting an object.
💡

normally, if everything is aligned correct and the print doesn't get messed up by accident, the probe should be right out of the way and never hit the printed object.
but we all know: shit happens and objects that may have popped up from the printbed may interfere with the probe, so it's still a good idea to use a protector.
