PINDA probe broken, someone had a similar issue?

First of all, as a case of warranty my replacement is on its way already, nice support as always 😉

I would just like to know if someone else has had a similar problem and discuss a little about it, so here's my issue:

I did not print for approximately two months now because I was very busy, then I wanted to print something today and the nozzle stopped at a distance of like 5mm to the heatbed after I launched the "Auto-home" command, which is really weird as this never happened before.
Next I moved the Extruder to the middle of the heatbed, so the Probe would heat up and give me more reliable Z-callibrations.
When I started the print order, the extruder moved to the left edge as always, but then he moved upwards until the printer replied an error message, "Z-Probe wiring error". The LED on the probe was off constantly as if it would sense metal, even if I moved the extruder all the way up.
I stopped the heating process and let it cool down, and at some point the probe was alive again. To further test this I set only the nozzly to a temperature of 210°C and watched the LED all the time during the heating process. At some point the LED on the Probe would just slowly fade out. The "Show Endstops" Function said that the Z-Endstop was reached, without any particular reason. Gently touching the probe on the black end had a similar effect. The weird thing here is that everything was fine a couple of weeks ago and the Probe stopped working correctly without any causing event.

Have you had a broken PINDA Probe before? What was the reason in your case? I am curious if this is a rare occurance or not...
