Pinda probe adjustment resulted in hotend eating PEI, can't seem to correct this from happening
Pinda probe adjustment gone wrong: I changed the PINDA height so that it wasn't as low (catching on the models it was printing). Its now just a hair lower than a US dime, which seems to be the consensus on proper height. I then ran calibrate Z (which I've done a few times in the past without issue), but this time around the unit wants to poke holes into my PEI. I then adjusted live Z to 100 (it was -0.627 previously with the old PINDA height), but its still doing it.
I then installed the new RC firmware and ran a factory reset. When I try the xyz calibrate now, it still wants to eat my PEI. I checked and the Pinda probe has a solid red light on. Any ideas?

The red light should turn off when the calibration point is detected. If it doesn't turn off at all you need to lower it. Perhaps in between your old position and the new one?

The pinda is currently at 1.25mm height vs the hot end. Do you think thats really too high?

I adjusted it down slightly and now the pinda light flashes and its able to find the calibration point without eating the pei more.
