Not sure what is causing this on my print
I just printed the MK2 camera mount ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1646474 ) and noticed on the top layer that the filament rows weren't coming together nicely. Below is a picture and some print settings. It was sliced with Simplify3D and printed with eSun PLA Pro. If anyone has any tips please let me know. I'm only worried about the part by the red arrow.
Extrusion multiplier: 1
Extrusion Width: 0.43
Top solid layers: 3
Infill: 15
Re: Not sure what is causing this on my print
If your first layer is sticking well to the build plate I would guess its under extrusion.
Try to adjust the Extrusion Multiplier to 1.05 for example. Or first, use the "flow" setting while you print the first 2-3 layers before the infill starts. You will see with your own eye if that helps. I'm using many different brands for filaments, both "high quality" and "low quality" brands, this means that the diameter of my filament differs a lot from print to print. I'm always watching layer 2 and adjusting the flow value while printing until I get a result I'm satisfied with.
