Newbie problems
I have built this printer and calibrated it and it says it’s slightly skewed but will be OK.
I am trying to print the supplied files from the SD card but the filament doesn’t stick very well or at all to the bed and I am getting the pictured effect where the patches are missed or dragged. The extruder nozzle is getting covered in filament but I have cleaned it and the pictured was with a clean (I think) nozzle. I am just using the temps etc linked with the file supplied by Prusa. Can any one point out what I am doing wrong please? I’ve tried different temps, adjusted the live-z and moved the PINDA. I just can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Sorry - I am obviously a complete newb.

Re: Newbie problems
THat does look very similar. I am not getting the problem if I lay a sheet of thin tracing paper on the bed and print on that. I have IPA but no acetone. I’ll get some tomorrow and use that on the bed to see if it makes a difference. I had read that I should heat the bed with the extruder raised to avoid heating the PiNDA. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated.
Re: Newbie problems
Always raising the print head. To about 100mm before starting a print. is a good idea on the mk2.
Otherwise you will drive yourself nuts. Perpetually chasing a good squish...
Been there, done that... as have many others...
