MK2s stops after 30 minutes or so into print

I just got the prusa i3 mk2s and my first test print of the dragon went well. today Ive tried printing three more test prints from the sd card and each one goes well untill the printer just stops without any warning. not sure what could be causing this other than some kind of over heating issue. the fan to the left of the print nozzle is sucking air in, should it be blowing out?

I have this same problem. I've got the MK2.
It seems to happen to prints at a random times. Some prints will stop 5 mins into the print others towards the end. Also it happens on prints which I have use before without any issues.
It seems to have only just started in the last month or so.
I am using Octoprint, and what I have noticed is that when the print does stop, I can go into Octoprint click on pause and resume and it will then continue printing. I've not notices any error messages on the LCD screen. I've yet to check the terminal window in Octoprint to see if any messages appear. I'm on firmware 3.0.10.

Joshua

Both fans should be sucking.

All your prints where this has happened have been the pre-sliced models from the SD card? If so, you should contact support - use the "Live Chat" on the shop pages and give them a link to this thread.

Re: MK2s stops after 30 minutes or so into print

an update on my issue.
It looks like it is Ocoprint causing my problems. I did some testing today.
I changed my Octprint to set a cancel end script to move the nozzle to the top left corner of the bed and move up slightly. I noticed that when I click on cancel the print does stop, but the end script did not run for a few minutes.
I am guessing before when I pressed cancel, Octoprint did not fully cancel, so when I kicked off another print it Ocoprint is still in the process of canceling the previous print, eventually it catches up and stop the current print.
I've done a few prints now where now I wait for the cancel process to complete, I know when it is complete when the nozzle moves out of the way, whereas before I did not have an end script.
It all seems to be working now. I've not had any unexplained stoppages.
Not sure though why Octprint takes so long to cancel a print completely.

Not sure though why Octprint takes so long to cancel a print completely.

It has to purge the serial buffer before it can issue any new commands.
