Inconsistent first layer thickness
I'm seeing some inconsistency in the thickness of the first layer as you can see in the image. Is this to be expected or an indication of something wrong? My understanding is z-axis calibration should compensate for this.

I am having the same issue and I also thought the auto bed level/mesh level would fix any issues like this. Please help.
