Inconsistent first layer
The offset of the nozzle is not consistent across the Y axis. It seems like it's further from the bed the further back it goes. Here is an example first layer, where you can see the lower object has a proper offset, and the upper one is off by about 50-100 microns. Any ideas how to fix this? While it's still good enough to stick well for something like this, I'm afraid a warp-prone object might encounter problems

First make sure your autoprobe hits calibration points at exact positions. If there is some offset (which could be ok), make sure the offset is the same at all calibration points. It is possible that inaccurate position of autoprobe leads to wrong bed calibration input.

I have a similar issue with my front right probe point; the nozzle always hits the bed and pushes it down during pre-print calibration.
Using the 3.0.4 Beta bed calibration has made it worse and that has also positioned the first probe point outside the circle.
What this means for me is that the nozzle is lower in the front right quadrant so I am trying to avoid first layer in that area - there is significant over-extrusion there.
I believe that my issue is caused by a problem with the probe insert in the bed at that point. The front right screw insert is also slightly raised by about 0.5mm.

I wonder if there is any way how to fix that. I have almost the same problem at the same calibration point, but the height difference is minimal, I gues it's under 100 microns. The result is only slight first layer inconsistency with no significant impact on quality of print, but I would like it to be perfect. 😉

Unfortunately, the Mk42 appears to be a proprietary design at present; I can find no info about it and therefore it is difficult to know what to do about the problem.
I have made enquiries to purchase a new Mk42 from PR (I may order 2) and it will be interesting to see when it becomes available and delivered whether this is just a one-off or a design/manufacture issue.
In the meantime, I am printing models with larger bases on the Mk1.

The first layer is the bugbear of all 3D printers. Until that is solved universally , 3D printing is a specialist hobby, not for general home use.
The launched MK2 still seems a Beta test printer. I was getting great prints with my MK1. With the Mk2 the first layer has become an issue again. I did get a great first print but after that crap first layers again. PEI seems useless. Factory reset I guess and start again.

The new 3.04 Beta software appears to work fine for me. The probe detects and homes in on all calibration points for me. After that the Z calibration is spot on within slight outside circle area, but always passes for me. Its the offset that is the problem with the first layer.
After that the first layer is always off. And gives little or no adhesion.

The live Z offset adjustment is this stored in the firmware for future use? Or do we have to do this adjustment before every print. I am confused.

My probe hits all the points correctly. I tried printing 9 small circles at each probe point and they all came out perfect, so confusing lol
The bed doesn't seem to be curved between any 2 points
