Inconsistent Bed Temp
I'm having a problem with the bed temp. Printing PLA, bed temp is set to 55. 2 seconds into the print, the measured temp will drop to 25 (which is actually below room temp) causing the bed to try to heat up back to 55. after about 30 sec into the print, the actual temp will show back up as 65-66 and then drop back down.
The link below should get you to a short video of what's happening.

I've tried doing some research on the Forums about inconsistent temps and most of what I've found talks about needing to adjust the power settings. The machine has been running just fine for the past 6 months, not sure why the power settings would suddenly change.
I did upgrade firmware this morning to 3.0.12 and the problem still happens.
Re: Inconsistent Bed Temp
Take this with a large grain of salt but...judging by the shadows it seemed to drop in temp when the bed went to the rear. So I would say, based on the short video...maybe a connection?
Re: Inconsistent Bed Temp
Thanks Neal,
I actually double checked all the connections this morning and everything looks fine. Nothing is loose and the wires aren't crimped at all. I did have a problem a couple months ago where the thermistor actually came loose from the underside of the build plate but that is not happening now either.

I dont think the bed can drop this fast in temp. Chek your thermistor again. Maybe wiggle the cable around and see if you can replicate the issue. Moving the bed to the point where you think the problem were.

Re: Inconsistent Bed Temp
I just can't see anything jumping up and down in temp in that short a time unless its a connection, sensor problem or glitch in a program somewhere.
Re: Inconsistent Bed Temp
So after messing with cables and connections this morning, it seems like there is a short in the wire for the thermistor. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement? Most of the ones I've found online don't have the right connection for the Rambo board.
