I'm stoked

Finished assembly yesterday, and I couldnt be more impressed with both the kit and the results.

I am yet to experiment with ABS and other materials, but its impressive to have a kit produce this kind of quality with zero tinkering or calibration (beyond of course, auto calibration).

A few minor points of criticism though:

- the electronics box design and the way you need to install it, is clumsy compared to the rest of the printer. The manual is also not nearly as helpful as it is for the rest of the printer. Its like Jozef needed a vacation :).
- The spool holder is rubbish and frankly, unworthy of a printer of this level. Of course I printed another one, but what where they thinking when they produced an injection mold piece like that?
- Im yet to come to grips with printing on PEI. Even with PLA it seems to stick too hard when applying glue, or not hard enough when its clean. Temperature doesnt make much difference. I do miss printing on glass, where it stuck like glued when hot, and popped right off when cold. Im fearful of trying other materials.

Still, Im a happy customer so far :).

When it comes to the stickiness of PLA, you might have some tinkering to do.

I use no glue, when I don't use a raft and de contact area is more then a square centimeter I have a lot of trouble getting it loose.

PLA sticks like glue, but only when the bedsurface is clean.

I only use a bit of isopropyl alcohol.
