Hot Bed plug melting on Rambo Board
Hi Clever People
Updated the Firmware on my Prusa i3 MK2 machine and started to have a few issues. Then I got "Heating Error" from the Heat Bed and it stopped getting hot and the LED on the connection secured to the Bed stopped working. Opened up the Rambo box to check fuses and look for loose wires. In doing so I pushed on the two plugs taking power to the extruder and the heat bed. The plug for the heat bed was so hot I burned my fingers. On removing this plug I noticed that the Positive side of the two pin plug was totally melted from the heat.
Cleaned everything up and switched on and set the preheat to ABS and found everything working. Heat bed warming and LED on. Three red LEDS also on in the Rambo board shining brightly. Pushed the Heat Bed plug up to make sure firmly secure and burned my finger. Changed the plug and tried again. Burned finger. So although everything seems to be working and extruder and heat bed warming up on cue the plug continues to heat up so badly to melt the plug and then the Pruser safety procedure kicks in and switches things off with the LCD warning.
You guys got any suggestions as to what is causing this or maybe it was the upgrade?? I am desperate to get printing!!
