Heated bed temperature decreasing during print
Hi, apart from a failed PINDA probe, i've had reletively no problems with my MK2 till today.
I was printing a very small file earlier today, and just happened to glance at the LCD and noticed that the bed temperature was about 5 degrees lower than what it should have been. I watched it for a few minutes and saw that every 2-3 minutes it would decrease by 1 degree.
As you can see from the image below, the bed LED was lit but it wasn't getting any hotter.
All the cables are fine, and as far as i can tell the connections to the Rumba board are allOK. Also there aren't any draughts in the workshop, it's fully heated.
Do you think this could be a failing PSU or heated bed? Does anyone know if there's any warranty on these parts? The failed PINDA probe i bought and paid for myself, customer services gave me access to the spare parts on the shop, there was never any mention of getting it replaced under warranty.
Cheers
Charlie.
Re: Heated bed temperature decreasing during print
Can you check PSU voltage on RAMBo input power socket and also voltage provided to heatbed during heating on heatbed side (remove cable cover). Set printer into pause before measurement to keep heatbed still for a while.

Was the part cooling fan on? If it was. Consider reducing it to 60%

Re: Heated bed temperature decreasing during print
I am going to bet it is the connector from the heatbed to the RAMBo. Check that and if it is melted your best option is to desolder the connector from the board and then solder the wires from the heatbed to the back of the board.
Re: Heated bed temperature decreasing during print
That's why I asked Charlie to measure voltage at heatbed while heating. 😉
