First Layer help

This is the start of a first layer of my print. I have done a few other successful prints but they have been smaller. This print will have a filled in base first lay except for the holes. I stopped it because i saw these weird bubbly lines form. I am printing on a prusa i3 mk 2 in pla. The settings are the default ones in cura for the prusa mk 2. .15m layer height 195 C temp 60 C bed retraction on 60 mms print speed 120 move speed

Re: First Layer help

I'm only a beginner but the PLA temp on my MK2 defaults to 210 nozzle temp. I just got mine in a kit 2 weeks ago, but the PrusaControl and even the Slic3r Prusa Edition both printed PLA beautifully. May I ask why you're using Cura?

Re: First Layer help

That is what I had used in the past for school and what I knew. I will try upping the temp on cura and try using slic3r.

Re: First Layer help

Using the prusa version of slic3r seems to have helped alot.
