Calibration mid print

Hi All, My printer was three quarters of the way through a print when it appears to have tried to do a calibration. It was printing nicely, I left it alone for a while, came back to find the nozzle in the x,y,z home position and error message that the calibration point had failed and it was waiting for reset.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
cheers Kerry

I don't change the configuration. The nozzle is clean.

But I have very bad because I have 4 holes in my bed.

I don't undestand the random test. And the nozzle go down and no stop.

Re: Calibration mid print

Are you using Pronterface or similar via the USB cable or are you using the SD card...

On Pronterface, the software seems to restart on occasion... and that could be the cause...

I now use an uninterruptible powersupply and life is better...

I have still been caught unawares by a software upgrade which happened automatically and trashed the print that was in progrss...

🙁

Thanks for the responses.

I am printing from an SD card so no chance of the pc interfering, not sure why, but it was merrily printing and then mid print just decided to do a z calibration.

Pascal for your printer it sounds like the PINDA probe is not detecting the bed and may be too high up. I would lower nozzle until it was just above the bed above the little circles used for calibration. , use a piece of paper to get the right height and then move the PINDA probe down until the little red light on the probe lights up showing it has detected the bed. lock in place and use the live adjust z to get the height perfect.

thanks

Re: Calibration mid print

Thank all,

yesterday , I controled my PINDA . I print since SD card. The problem for me is random but I see is often when the printer check the point 3 , 6 or 9. Printer crash the bed.

I have to adjust the Z axis. and after restart de mesh bed , it's good.

When the printer crash the bed , the Z axe go down on the bed and no stop and deform the tray.
Perhaps accidents have twisted my bed ? And the level now it's random and very important. distance between the first point and the 3 or 9 points.

May be the bed or the tray are bent ?

Regards
Pat
