CAD Files?

Hi there - is there a place I can go to get a CAD model of the MK2? I would like to make a Octoprint case holder and camera holder and figured it would be easier to start from the source rather than measuring all the dimensions myself. I'm looking for a real 3d model, of the z axis mainly, but the whole printer would be great. Thanks!

To get the DXF of the Z-Frame, I actually had to ask Josef to provide me the link. Here it is:

Z-Frame

Dimensions PNG

and an 8 inch (200mm) or greater caliper is recommended.

In case you are interested, there are some great Raspberry Pi cases specifically made for the Prusa i3 and i3 MK2. I just printed and installed this case: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1325370

How do you download from onshape? I have the DXF from github only because I couldn't figure out how to get the model from onshape.

Thanks

Re: CAD Files?

Hi Tom,

Sorry. I didn't check the link. It grants view only (I can't change this).
I suggest you must have an onshape account (free). Perhaps you can download from the link when logged in.
Otherwise you should search for my document in onshape (it's public) and you can copy it.

Or you send PM with your email than I can send a link with access rights.

[SOLVED] Re: CAD Files?

Thomas - thanks. Creating an account worked; I was able to export the file and save as a STEP which got me what I was looking for. Many thanks!
