That's looking pretty good so far.

Why do you raise the 8mm shafts on top of printed parts? Is there a reason for that (other than just replicating the status quo)?

Errors in the bed mounts should be reduced as much as possible, and 4 printed rod mounts is probably an immediate source of issues.

Have you considered just laying the 8mm rods on top of the extrusion and then just strapping them down?

If your extrusions are accurate (and they probably are), and your rods are accurate (and they probably are) then don't bother with a printed landing for them, just lay one on top of the other and secure it.

Accurate, and no need for zip ties.

The reason is simple - I didn't design that part, it's taken from RebeliX. 😉 I only printed it from the same orange ABS.

Maybe next time. But there will be consequences - Y motor and Y idler will have to be lowered in their mounts.

As a quick tip, I recently got a cheap laser level which projects a crosshair laser.
I can stick it on the X axis rod and point down to the bed and check if the lines are perfectly aligned.
