ambient temperature and 1st layer

I am having problems with bed adhesion when the ambient temperature is above 35C in my garage.

I typically use PETG and during the hot part of the day I can not get the 1st layer to stick, but if I print late at night after the temp has dropped the same file prints fine.

Any one have an idea why this is happening or how to correct for it?

Re: ambient temperature and 1st layer

the sensitivity of the p.i.n.d.a. probe is (unfortunately) a function of temperature.
the p.i.n.d.a. probe is the device near the hotend that usually "measures" the distance to the printbed at the beginning of each print (when the 9 point calibration procedure takes place).

so if you change your ambient temperature by more than +/- 5°C, you'll probably have fo find the correct live z adjustment* level again.
