Almost there! Getting some really nice prints, but need help tweaking to perfection
Hi! I've gotten quite a few really nice prints out of this thing, especially considering this is my first 3D printer. I've been working on tweaking some things, and would like help on one thing I've been seeing recently in some of my prints that i'm having a hard time tweaking for:
As you can see, most of that looks pretty good (at least to me). I'm having a hard time figuring out what I should do about that rough spot though. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Use the bed level correction and take the left side down by 20 microns (-20)

Looks like an adhesion issue on that one corner. I had the same problem when the bed wasn't hot enough & the PLA was peeling up. I had to use blue tape & glue stick with my printer though because I'm still on backorder for my MK2S... 😯 Try 3-5° incremental temp. adjustment. I've noticed that with different brands of PLA I've also had to use slightly different temps. You might want to slightly up your nozzle temp. as well. This can all depend on ambient temps as well. Don't some still use the blue tape & glue stick with this PEI sheet?
I'm just your typical 3D printing fanatic.

Oops, that's just wrong, sorry, you need to raise the nozzle on the left by 20 microns... Apologies...

Re: Almost there! Getting some really nice prints, but need help tweaking to perfection
Thanks for the help so far! After trying some of the mentioned tweaks, I've got the bottom layers looking nice and smooth and got the first print done beautifully. The problem I'm having now is on the second print. No idea what to call this one:
I wonder if maybe I'm having extruder issues?
Re: Almost there! Getting some really nice prints, but need help tweaking to perfection
Intermittent extrusion, porous prints.
Yeah, you are having extruder issues.
Loads of things to look for (and I will forget a few...)
Grub screw on filament drive pulley
Filament twisted on spool
Spool not turning smooth
Too much retraction
Partial nozzle blockage (cold pull)
tension springs too tight/too loose
PTFE damaged
I am sure others will add to this list...

That was kind of my hunch, but again I'm new to this, so I wasn't sure all the avenues to explore. You've given me a great list of things to research and learn and tweak. Thanks!
