After MAXTEMP error continue to not working printer 🙁
Hi,
I've been printing a lot in the last couple weeks. Suddenly I've got Thermal Runaway. The culprit is loosed thermistor cable connector. It is easy to fix, but after a day I've got MAXTEMP Error. I checked again the thermistor cable connector. Everything look find until I see the connector near heater-block is shorted. Both sleeves got pull out toward connector and shows the wire inside.
I tried to fix it based on this http://help.prusa3d.com/mk2-electronics/printer-lcd-shows-maxtemp-error?from_search=13867700 .
Then I turned on the printer, the temperature shown a constant high degree (288). I have tries many ways, increase and decrease the temperature from the LCD menu, turn on and off the printer, press reset button, even update the firmware to the newest one. Everything did not fix it.
Any help, please ?
This is a 4s video I made to explain the condition: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5izwcerzmfhsq3g/MaxTempError.MOV?dl=0
The actual temperature at the heater block actually is much lower even I can touch in with my finger. It is cold.
Please help....

Maybe another short circuit somewhere else? Untie cable wrap from extruder and check wires on its all length.
Re: After MAXTEMP error continue to not working printer 🙁
Solved.
It is just the thermistor Cartridge I used to replace does not work with i3 MK2 printer. I though that Thermistor Cartridge are all the same. Anyone can point me / give me a link on E3D site which one I need to buy to replace it ?
The shortest one come with the printer. The other 2 are what I have as spare for other printer.

E3D thermistor cartridge: http://e3d-online.com/Electrical/Components/Thermistor-Cartridge
The ones you have could well be thermocouples which would go some way to explaining your problems...
