Multi-colour without prime tower?
Hi, I am wondering it is possible to do multi-colour without prime tower in slic3r?
My aim is to have alternating layer colour when an object being printed it will be just like the slic3r's prime tower but no need to print the prime tower to flush the previous colour, I don't really mind about the colour being mixed with the previous one
Re: Multi-colour without prime tower?
You will need a tower in order to unload, but you can make the tower very small.

Re: Multi-colour without prime tower?
Actually I tried with 0 prime tower and about 2/2mm depth, the next filament change didn't go out of the nozzle well. I tried as little as about 60/2mm, I think that the prime tower were too small or cramped until during the small flush also will grind the filament away due to laying the plastic over the previous layer.
I actually tried to print at 0.15mm layer though
Re: Multi-colour without prime tower?
Have you tried KISS with my post-processor; that will handle variable layer heights and variable purge.

I have not, I never tried kisslicer.
Erm... could you guide me on using kisslicer along with your post-processor? what about the profiles with the mk2?
Thank you in advance.
P.S
I do have simplify3d, but even that also unable to do any alternate layers
