Infill, skipping and stringiness

Hi,

I have just upgraded my MK2/S with MM. I'm largely happy with it. It now prints almost as well as before upgrade and the MM mode works, but there are a few issues. One of them seems to be a settings problem which I'll bring up here.

From README in the attached zip archive:

Printing spool-female.gcode, which is generated from spool-female.stl
using Slic3r 1.37.2 and the included settings, on an MK2/S MM using
firmware 3.0.12 makes the extruder skip steps somewhere half into
printing infill in each layer.

This seems to cause (small amounts of) extra, unwanted, material here
and there which, in turn, sometimes causes strings.

The settings is basically those of your drivers release 1.9.0. I have just made smaller adjustments to printing temperature and number of shells. I also tried to solve the skipping problem by reducing infill printing speed from 60 mm/s to 40 mm/s since I thought there could be a limit to how fast the new setup can extrude. This did not help, so I think there is a bug in your standard settings.

I should add that I have observed this problem also with other prints.

Best regards,
Mikael
