Beehive around nozzle...replace with MK2S nozzle/heatbreak?

As above....I left a print unattended for an hour or so, and came back to a block of PLA around my MMU nozzle. In trying to clean it off, I accidentally ripped my thermistor cables out...needless to say I would like to have a new nozzle setup.

Since this was an upgrade, I put the old MK2S heatbreak and nozzle in there, and used the PTFE MMU tube, and things seem to be going OK. Is there something terribly special about the heatbreak on the MMU that I am putting myself at risk for, when I am not using it?

I guess it would be a normal E3D replacement procedure to replace it right? Use a wrench to remove both nozzles, then move the clean nozzle/heater/thermistor to the MMU heatbreak? Do I even need to do so? Seems to be working?

If it's working then leave it.

Before the new heat break was developed I was using a regular heat break without issues.

If you do start getting jams during filament change, then you should probably consider swapping them over, but leave it for now. Some of the regular heat breaks are perfectly fine for MM use; it depends on manufacture quality.

Thanks! I will leave it until I need to change it 🙂
