Severe Ripple in First Layer

Can anyone help! I have ripple in the first layer that causes prints to fall off the bed. This happens with all extruders. I have Done/ Checked the following. Complete factory reset and calibration, firmware update, bed and nozzle temp., Live Z adjust, belt tensions, extruder tension, PINDA adjustment, frame checked, changed filament, checked hotend for mechanical problems.

Re: Severe Ripple in First Layer

This looks like the extruder is too close to the bed

Reestart the same print again. And as it starts printing back off the live Z until the waves dissapear. Then back off a little more until your extrusion lines statr to separate. Into individual sphagetti.
You are now too high so increase the live z value to about half way between wwhere rhe waves stopped and the spaghetti began. And you should have a good first layer.

Thanks, I tried that just now to make sure. The ripple occurs no mater where live z is set. even with live z at 000 and individual strands visible.

Problem solved. Replaced left Z trapezoid nut and left and right LM8UU bearings in the Z carriage. Smooth first layer now.
