My roll of Prusament sucks
So I have just tried my first roll of Prusament. Three clogs and three failed models later, in the rubbish bin it goes!!! Back to Inland (eSun)… I rarely if ever have a clog with the Inland.
Not sure if I got the one bad roll in this lot, but I am not spending that much on shipping to US to find out... 😡
Re: My roll of Prusament sucks
that sucks. I am 100% happy with Inland. their red is a dumb color, and sometimes the colors changes allot per roll. BUT still good running filament
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

You got a bad roll. No doubt about it.

I’ve only done most of one spool, and I’m pretty happy. Tons of Inland tho, happy with both. Not sure what’s wrong with your spool, but it’s definitely a problem with the spool, not the brand.
When someone asks you if you're a god, you say, "YES!"
Re: My roll of Prusament sucks
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Wasn't too impressed with the Prusa PLA I received with the printer.
Re: My roll of Prusament sucks
I watched the video - they monitor the color constantly throughout. They should have a discount bin for out of spec filament.

Re: My roll of Prusament sucks
I am also having problems with Prusament. In November I ordered 2x rolls of Lipstick Red and 2x rolls of Galaxy Black. I have tried one roll of each color and both are giving me a huge headache. They both clog or partial clog at random intervals. I tested the black today at 205C, 200C and 195C and have gotten clogs every time. Sometimes it won't even get passed the first layer. Has anyone else had this problem?
Re: My roll of Prusament sucks
my kit shipped at the end of September and came with a prerelease roll of Prusament silver. it has bee great and I have saved the last half to use for tests after any modifications i make.
I bought a roll of lipstick red to use a credit that they gave me for sending a kit made for the UK to me in the US. the outside wrap of the spool had adhesion problems I suspect the person packing it might have used a moisturizing hand cream.
once past that first layer it has been great the best filament I ever had access to with my delta was some abs that was ±0.04 so the accuracy of prusament Is a major Plus for me
Re: My roll of Prusament sucks
I bought one of each as well (red and galaxy black) and had the same issues. Tried old filament and had successful prints.

I haven't bought any Prusament yet, but have been thinking about it. What is the recommended temperature? What temperature do you normally print at? I almost always print at 215-220 with PLA and have had very few issues over the years. I use the same temperatures for the different brands: Original Prusa (before the Prusament), FoxSmart (low cost (~$12/KG)), eSun, Hatchbox, and some no name spool that I had.
Also the 1st thing I do when I open a new roll, unless I absolutely need to use it right away is to put it in an oven at 40C for a minimum of 24 hours, preferably 48+ hours. This goes for PLA, ABS, or PETG.

Re: My roll of Prusament sucks
I got 4 rolls of Prussia pla and one roll of prusament place to run with my MMU. I have spent so much time trying to solve the prusament jamming issue. The other rolls have zero issue. I am so happy to read this and find out it's not just me. Prusament is a no go for me and my roll is going straight in the bin 🙂

What colors and filament types have an issue?

Re: My roll of Prusament sucks
Well I have the vanilla pla version, and I also had now 2 clogs, clogs that where easily fixed and I think it is pretty obvious to be heat creep.
To bad the upgrade kit has a 10 week order time....
I had one big print of 13 hours done over night without any issues. But tried a smaller print in day time and it failed twice. The only difference was the heating was on in the day time.
I have tightened the Idler screws, so it would push harder and put my heating down, put a window open and left my enclosure open. I probably will close the window when I go to bed, but leave the enclosure open.
Hopes this works! End result of the first print was pretty awesome, but the second and third both stopped at 2/3 of the print so that sucked hard.
Is anyone turning down the heat to prevent heat creep?
EDIT didn't work..... another clog on the same hight.. AARG Gonna try to print in lower temp as this topic suggest:
