jammed Y-Splitter issue
Hello,
I am having some issues with my Y-spliter on my MK2 MM printer.
Every so often when it completes a print (either successfully or failed) the PLA filament seems to form a bulb at the end and does not unload because the bulb is too broad to fit back upwards. Sometimes it jams on the metal tube sometimes not. Sometimes I have been able to remove the filament with a pair of pliars, but so far three times the filament snapped off just below the cusp of the y-spliter meaning I could no longer get at it, functionally closing off one of the channels. Currently only 1 channel is open (effectively reverting me to a single material printer). So far I've had no luck removing the filament from any of the three channels. There is not enough to grab with pliars and pushing it back from below has produced no results either. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to extract the PLA segment from the inside of the y-spliter?
The other option I have is to print a new y-spliter, but the question I have on that is where would I find the brass screw-like things that go in the top that you screw the filament tubes into? Do they have a name or standardized part description that would make it easier to track down?
Any information or ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you
Re: jammed Y-Splitter issue
Also as a follow up,
When printing the y-splitter does anyone have a recommendation for the orientation does anyone have a recommendation on what orientation to print it on? I found that its recommended to use PETG at 20% infill, but which face should be down, also should I slice it with bridging?
