Filament sensor swap

Hi, I just bought a MK2 printer that has upgrades to it(MK52 12v bed,P.I.N.D.A. sensor, optical filament sensor) and when it was shipped to me the extruder assembly got busted(MK 2.5 is printed on the back of the assembly). I replaced it with the MK3s R4 assembly that has the new IR filament sensor and it only has 3 wires instead of the 4 that the previous optical sensor had. I plugged it in where the old sensor was but during self test it registers a wring error. Will a firmware upgrade clear this problem and which one would I use, I currently have 3.3.1 on the board now.

Any help is appreciated.

RE: Filament sensor swap

I believe the Pinda needs a split cable to work

RE: Filament sensor swap

Thanks for the info, everything worked fine except for the filament sensor. I installed it like the photo from the manual but it wouldn't recognize it, I flashed new firmware 3.7.1 to it late last night and it seems to have cured my error. Now if the filament would come in the mail I could finish calibrating the printer and start printing.
