Z-ribbing issues

Hey guys. So here are some small prints I've made and it seems I have some very noticeable z ribbing. Is this normal for the Prusa 3D or is my machine/calibration/slicer settings faulty?

Is there anyway someone can help me troubleshoot this? I can provide the stl for the yellow print if anyone needs it to help out. Takes like 10 mins to print.

I'm just hoping to get more consistent layers, looks like a repeated pattern right now.

Thanks

Hi Alex

Certainly not right. Can you check the tightness of the belts and ensure that the pulleys are not moving on the motor drive shafts.

Belts must be tight and play like a guitar string.

They seem tight enough, i bought it built, do pulleys usually get loose with use?

I read some stuff online about it maybe being incorrect later height? And something about the printer compensating every couple of layers, thus the consistency. I'm not sure how accurate that is.

Hi Alex

If you purchased the printer pre-built, then you should not have this problem.

Can I suggest that you contact support - use the Live Chat on the shop pages and give then a link to this topic.

I don't see how this can be an incorrect lay height issue, unless you are printing using some weird values. Layer heights with this printer are usually multiples of 0.05 mm.

I've also had this issue, however, I put mine together myself. Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

Thanks!
