Print Bed Issues/Repair
So after about a year of printing, my bed has been all scratched up due to the spatula. This was recently cleaned with acetone and these are all the scratches I'm left with. This is causing major discrepancies with my first layers and leaving noticeable spots. Other members of the family complained to me and I want to m=know if this can be saved at all.

Yeah, how could I say...
You buy a new bed in the webshop for some 90€ bucks, remove the old one and install the new one.
There are 4 cables and 6 M3 screws. That`s it.
No difference to building the printer. Maybe the assembly manuals could be of help for you? https://manual.prusa3d.com/
But what for?
The PEI sheet cost just some few bucks and following the instructions all is like new. Did that myself several times and it is no big deal at all....

I didn't know how complicated it would be. How do I tell if the heat bed itself is damaged? However I think my Pei sheet is completely gone.

Your heatbed is not damaged when i see the pictures.
The method Prusa recommend is bad because it is hell to do.
My tip heat the bead to 110°C or more -> as hot you can but 120°C as an example should be enough
then be careful to not burn your fingers !!!
Use a sharpened spatular to lift one edge of the pei sheet and then grab it with a plier.
Then you can easily rip of the pei sheet slowly in one piece.
AND most of the adhesive will stick to the pei sheet and not on the bed.
then wipe the few adhesive which is on the bed away with alcohol like when you normal clean the bed.
Then you could put the new pei sheet on.
The longest part of changing the pei sheet is now the heat up time of the bed.
Forget about the method with the freezer and unscrew the bed.
With the heat up method you can directly change the pei sheet in the printer.
