Re: Help getting rid of Z-banding / visible horizontal layers

Hi!
I attach pics of my prints...
I tried:
- extruder temp calibration
- e-steps calibration
- check belts
- check pulleys
- check bearings
- reassembling extruder
- modifying spool holder

What I can do more?
I think that it's mechanical problem, not printer settings,
because z-banding is not the same on entire height of prints.
On different height it looks otherwise.

Re: Help getting rid of Z-banding / visible horizontal layers

did you try different filament ?
this is what you'll have if the filament thickness (or mix) is inconsistent .
i would also try new nozzle and check the rigidity of the printer frame .
imho the main frame part connection to the y axis is not solid enough anyways .

further question: did you get the same results in [silent] mode as well as in [high power] mode ?
and another idea: is your hotend severely fixed inside the extruder body, without any clearance ?

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

I tried filament from 3 supliers, PLA and ABS, result the same...
I'll try your suggestions, thank you!

I worked only in high power mode.
I checked hotend, I replaced PTFE tube to be convinced that everything is OK.
Everything is firmly fixed...
I tried to pull filament inside manually, and I didn't notice any clearence.
