Unable to dismantle extruder (for nozzle change)
I was about to change nozzle (0.6mm) and I am facing an issue with the upper extruder plate screw being stuck (in red circle in the picture attached). I damaged two wrenches trying to loosen it ( I turned maybe one half-turn and that's it) and it still sits firmly. I think I will have to grind the screw (quite accessible when the extruder fan is unmounted) and replace it. Is this a common problem? Some better fix than replacing the screw (and perhaps the entire printed part, if I fail to unscrew it)? Thanks!

You have an unusual problem there,
what size hex wrench are you using?
I believe it should be a 2.5mm wrench

Yes, it is a 2.5mm hexagon, though I believe the problem is the thread is tight in the printed part. Good to hear it is not a usual problem, I know I will have to improvise 🙂

The nut was somehow glued to the screw and if turned the screw with force, the nut would rip off edges of the hexagonal pocket and wold turn as well. After grinding the tooth & re-assembly, I did not put that screw in anymore, it is mechanically redundant.
