PINDA Replacement

I seem to have knocked the tip off my PINDA 1 sensor. Can i replace that with a PINDA 2? does anyone know how different their outputs are? from what i can tell the PINDA 2 has the same 3 wires out, so i am thinking that the thermal compensation is internal and it might be a plug and play upgrade. (or maybe one that requires a firmware change?). Any input here would be appreciated.
thanks

Re: PINDA Replacement

Well, from what i was able to find out, the two pieces are not simply interchangeable. I was able to find a source in the U.S.A. that had a replacement sensor. it was $15USD and a little more to ship.

just in case someone else needs one fast and doesn't want to have to pay for international express shipping.
