Mesh bed leveling firmware values not taking effect
After I got my MK3S working I decided to modify my MK2S. I put a 300x300 bed on it. I then modified the firmware to see the larger bed. That worked fine but the MBL was using the original 9 points (6,35 to 238,202). I changed the firmware again to change the MBL rectangle to fit the larger bed (6,35 to 290,290). After reloading the firmware MBL was still using the original 9 points. Any ideas why this is happening? One other change that I made was to activate the EEPROM setting in the firmware (I also tried without the EEPROM being active).
Thanks in advance for any help
John
RE: Mesh bed leveling firmware values not taking effect
May want to post this up in the MK2 forums ...
RE: Mesh bed leveling firmware values not taking effect
I’m confused. I’m new to this forum. I did post this to the MK2S forum. It says
English Forum > Original Prusa I3 MK2/S > Hardware, Firmware > Mesh Bed Leveling Firmware
Where else should I put it?

RE: Mesh bed leveling firmware values not taking effect
The MK2S MBL uses 9 small pads embedded in the heated bed to trigger the PINDA probe. If you have removed the MK42 bed with those 9 pads then you have disabled PINDA bed levelling and need to install a BL Touch or similar mechanical system to replace it. Your firmware will have to be modified to suit.
BTW You are in the right forum - guess Tim was put off by the opening mention of a MK3S working.
