How/where to solder thermistor wires
Hi folks,
I woke up this morning to find that a print had gone bad, and the unruly tangle of filament had ripped off one of the thermistor wires, causing a thermal runaway error:
According to the knowledge base, the course of action is to "cut away the connectors completely, connect the wires directly and solder them together."
My question is, how do I do this? I can solder, but, is there a video or instructions or something on how to take the thermistor apart to get to the place I need to solder? Do I remove the whole hotend and disconnect the thermistor, or is there an easier way to access the part for soldering?
Thanks!
Re: How/where to solder thermistor wires
ouch, good luck soldering that.
IF...if I had to when you get it out. maybe you can stick like a needle in and solder the wires to that.
but the way they make thermistors unless you have clear wire to wire to solder too. its almost pointless.
all I can say is be careful. its not too bad to order one and wait. I just got my backup not long ago.
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.
