Heat bed not getting the signal
Good morning folks. I have been the proud owner of an I3 Mk2S for the last few years. Over the last few days I have had intermittent issue with my heat bed. I have had thermal runaway issues before and a previous meltdown of the molex connector that has been replaced. My current problem is when the bed is connected the light on the print board (the one indicating that the heated bed should be heating)goes out and the light on the bed itself never lights showing a signal to heat. I have tried different things to isolate the problem like removing the connector and jumping directly to the terminals as well as bypassing the wiring entirely and jumping directly from the board terminals to the solder joints on the heatbed with the same result. If only one of the terminals are connected the light on the printer board is lit, and if both are connected the light goes off. I have tested this behavior with another heated bed I have on hand and it behaves the same. I have also checked the fuses on the board and they are all intact and not blown. Short of replacing all the fuses, are there any other things I can try, or is the board toast?
Thanks!
Brad
Re: Heat bed not getting the signal
Check for a break in the wires or a dry joint at the solder point on the bed by checking continuity of the cables with your multimeter.

Re: Heat bed not getting the signal
Did you ever find what the problem/solution was?
I ask because I am having a similar problem.

Searching for "heatbed" in this forum would give a shipload of results to solve those and/or similar problems.
Just to give a few hints...
- Temperature misreading due to a loose thermistor beneath the bed.
- Broken cables where they are bend back and forth.
- Burnt heatbed plug at the board.
