Green light on power supply - but nothing else
Hi. I have an i3 MK2. I've been printing from it for over a year after buying it used. I printed a model over night and it failed to stick and ended up with a crap ton of melted filament all over the extruder. When I tried taking it off, the LCD looked all screwy for a moment, and then nothing. Now, when I power it on, I see a green light in the power supply but that's it. I bought a new extruder and assembled it thinking that would fix the issue - but it didnt. I've checked the fuse by the power supply, and the 3 fuses in the board and they're all good. What could this be?
RE: Green light on power supply - but nothing else
I would suggest you contact support as you may have shorted out something and, I'm sorry to say, done some permanent damage to an electrical part like the main circuit board!
I did this back when I first started, I tried to clean the hotend with a metal brush and shorted out the heater or thermistor cartridge but was lucky as it just blew the fuse. Lesson learnt.
Never fiddle with the power turned on!
