Filament not unloaded properly in M600
Hi everyone,
I have a Prusa MK2S and I make fervent use of the M600 command to make multi-color prints.
I noticed that many times, the old color doesn't eject properly. When the M600 command is reached, the printer moves the extruder asides, unloads the old filament and shows a prompt for me to load the new filament. Often, the unloading is not successful. I often have to pull real hard on the old filament to get it to come out. Sometimes I have to disassemble the extruder to get it out, which really sucks 🙁
The only workaround I found is to be present when the printer unloads, and then "help" it pull up the old filament by tugging on it with my hand. This avoids the problem, but obviously I can't guarantee being near my printer whenever it reaches an M600 command.
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks for your help,
Ram Rachum.
Re: Filament not unloaded properly in M600
I don't know if prusa will implement that for mk2s. i don't know its internal development status. on mk3 firmware, the lcd ask something like "is the filament unloaded correctly?" and you confirm yes or no.
