Broken Heatbed Cables
Hi. So I have had my Prusa i3 Mk2s for about 2 years now, and 2 days ago I found out that the 2 heat-bed cables had broken off. I know a guy who can solder them for me but there is 2 problems: the first one is that I don't know If I can re-solder them or if I have to buy a new heat-bed, and the second one is that I don't know which of the 2 cables goes on which side. I know that one cable has a red line and the other one is all black, but I don't know if the red cable goes on the left or the right. If anyone could answer these 2 questions I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😀

Re: Broken Heatbed Cables
Also, I forgot to mention that my heatbed is already quite damaged (as you can see in the image). Even thought the part that is damaged is the PEI sheet, I would like to know if I can put the new mk3 heatbed on my mk2s, because it is much better. So, is it possible to put the mk3 heatbed on the mk2s? and if so, how much is it?
Re: Broken Heatbed Cables
You can buy the MK2S to MK2.5 upgrade kit which will give you a 12V MK52 (same type as MK3) bed and a removable spring steel sheet coated with PEI film. It's around $199.00 full price - normally discounted.

Black goes to GND, Red stripe goes to VCC.
