Bad PINDA?

Hello all,
I successfully built my new I3 and I am so glad that I did as I learned so much about the printer just by assembling it.

My problem is that I'm wondering if my PINDA is bad. I was able to run through all the calibrations and loaded filament, then when I tried to run the v2calibration the head drove right into the heatbed and I had to quickly power off the printer, tried again and got the same thing. Now no matter what I do the head tries to push itself through the heatbed.
I tried to reset the calibration and then to re calibrate but no matter what I do it tries to go through the heatbed.
When I do the self test I get to the checking Z and it doesn't stop going down, tries to push itself right through the heatbed.

I'd appreciate any ideas as I am all out of them.

Thanks,
Mike

Check this thread for some useful info on how to test your pinda probe:

Thanks, that helped a lot. Now I actually understand what the PINDA is doing an why. I was able to get it going again and just successfully printed the PRUSA logo and the batman symbol.
Now I get to try the Czech Haribo gummies!

Re: Bad PINDA?

If you don't mind my asking, what did you end up doing to get it to work? I am experiencing the exact same problems as you described. It seems like my pinda probe is working, but it keeps jamming into the heatbed during calibration and I'm forced to turn it off. I can't get past this step.
