Abnormal hot liquid leak around the extruder

Hello

On my Prusa I3 MK2, i have a leak during printing which creates small black drops in or around my print.

The drops are cristal black even with white filament ! ( probaly due to temperature).

the leak is between the filament guide (part ref  REP-E3D-HBK) and the heater block (part ref REP-E3D-HB6)

the liquid flow from this place, goes around the heater block and meet the nozzle ... so I have too much material on my prints.

I unmount etherything but i dont know how to avoid leaks at this place when i will remount everything.

should we put a product on the thread to avoid leaks?

Regards,

Stéphane.

RE: Abnormal hot liquid leak around the extruder

This is the result of an improper nozzle change.   E3D has a procedure for changing nozzles that must be followed or the nozzle doesn't seat against the heat break. And you end up tightening the nozzle to the heater block, and the heat break is loose and wobbly, and leaks melted filament.

If the nozzle HEX is tight against the heater block, you've assembled it wrong.  The nozzle should look like this when tight, the HEX about 1/4 to 1/2 turn out from the block:
