Hot End Won't Cool Down
The last 2 times I've printed I've found the fan still running well after the print was done and the display said the hot end was between 90 and 100 and wouldn't go any lower. I tried shutting it off and restarting but no change. I turned the machine off overnight and when I turned it on just now the display said the hot end was at 70 and the fan came on immediately, even though the nozzle is cool to the touch. I've been having a lot of stringing problems ( https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk2-s-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/terrible-stringing-problem/) but didn't know if this symptom was related so started a new thread.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Rich

Can you post a pic of your display? You might check to make sure the thermistor is inserted into the heater block properly. Contact Prusa support via online chat when signed into the e-store if the problem persists.

RE: Hot End Won't Cool Down
This problem has been solved. With the help of William at Prusa online chat I was able to determine that the thermistor was bad. It's supposed to measure about 100k ohms but mine measured 335k ohms. Luckily, I had a spare so I popped that it and now the temperature is reported properly.
Thanks!
